2019 Annual Exhibition

The Ellesmere Port Photographic Society held it's annual end of year exhibition, consisting of 14 different sections.
With thanks to the judges Colin Douglas (print) Sheila Giles DPAGB (PDI) we had a varied collection of winning images from old & new members.
Congradulations to Bill Preston ARPS DPAGB BPE5* for winning the prestigious 'Photographer of the Year' with a grand total of 99 points.

Ellesmere Port PS welcome Damien Demolder

Ellesmere Port Photographic Society is proud to welcome Damien Demolder to it's club on 25/03/19 in association with Camera Solutions Chester.
Damien is a highly acclaimed street photographer & journalist, he'll be sharing advice & stories from his time shooting street photography. Camera Solutions Chester may also be on hand to provide professional advice on equipment suited for this style of photography, definitely an evening not to be missed!

Colour Competition sees 3 different winners

Many thanks to all who took part in our colour competition.
There was a good turn out in both print & PDI images for judge Ian Stewart to deliberate over.

Ellesmere Port PS win Alf Smitheman Trophy

Congratulations to Ellesmere Port PS on winning the Alf Smitheman Trophy against Hawarden PS.
We were made very welcome by the home club & look forward to welcoming them back to our club next season.
The overall score was Ellesmere Port PS 494 Hawarden PS 468.
Our top scoring print was 'Melanie' & our top scoring PDI was 'Ballet Rehearsal' (see below) both by Bill Preston ARPS DPAGB BPE5*.
Well done Bill and well done everyone who participated.

Ellesmere Port PS lose battle to Deeside PS

We held our annual battle with Deeside PS today, unfortunately we lost 496 to 482 points.
We actually won the Print battle by 3 points but our PDIs let us down overall.
There was a good turn out from the visiting club & a good night was had by all.
Our top scoring PDI was 'Waiting for the Train' (see below) with 19 points by Sue Harris.
Our top scoring print was Great Grey Owl with 20 points by Gerry Freeman.
